How Design Is Reshaping the Modern Courthouse
What will the courthouse of the future look like?
It’s a question I’m asked often, especially as artificial intelligence begins reshaping the justice system. My honest answer is that no one could possibly know – and that’s why thoughtful design matters now more than ever.
This is why I don’t just solve today’s problems, but help civic clients envision what’s possible tomorrow. Future-ready courthouses must be more than modern; from hybrid courtrooms to trauma-informed public spaces, the buildings we design are rooted in both human dignity and an openness and adaptability to the future.
The justice system is changing fast, and court infrastructure must evolve with it. The real success of our work will be seen years from now, when someone walks into one of these spaces and says, “This still feels right; this still works.”
Because we’re not just building courthouses. We’re building possibilities.
